Resetting your Reading List Module

Resetting your Reading List Module

In some rare instances you may need to reset your Reading List Module connection, but it should not be necessary unless you have been advised to do so by Libraries staff. To reset the Brightspace/Reading List Module connection, you will need to delete the Library Reading List module from your course’s Brightspace, then re-add it. Note that deleting the module does not delete your actual reading list. After re-adding the module, it will re-connect to your old reading list.

Delete The Module

Go to your Library Reading List module in the content section of the course’s Brightspace, which can be found in the Table of Contents (see left side in below screenshot). Once you’ve click the module, you will see the Library Reading List title at the top of the screen. Click the arrow beside it to get the option to delete the module.

A screenshot of Brightspace shows the Library Reading List module open with a down arrow clicked to reveal an option menu with the cursor hovering over the "Delete Module" option.

When you click Delete Module, it will give you a confirmation message with two options as seen below. Leave it on the first option and click Delete.

A screenshot shows a dialog window has popped up asking if you want to remove the modlue but keep associated files (option 1) or delete everything (option 2). Option 1 is chosen, and the cursor is hovering over the "delete" button.

Re-Add The Module

Now that you have deleted the module, you can re-add it using the new connection, following the instructions here:
