If you have a disability and need assistance with library materials, please email accessibility@lib.purdue.edu. If you simply prefer print, please request the item through Interlibrary Loan.
This guide will assist you on how to locate and access e-books. The library provides access to e-books through multiple different databases so downloading and usage policies may vary.
Downloading is not usually required because most e-books can be read online.
E-books also have different limitations on how many patrons can read a book at a time. This depends on what type of e-book we purchased and what was available from the publishers. Most of the time this information can be easily found in the library catalog or the e-book database. See the how-to sections for each publisher to see where you can locate that information.
If you are an instructor and you want a book for your entire class to access, please reach out to reserves@purdue.edu.
