If you have a disability and need assistance with library materials, please email accessibility@lib.purdue.edu. If you simply prefer print, please request the item through Interlibrary Loan.
HathiTrust (pronounced Hah-tee Trust) is a "not-for-profit collaborative of academic and research libraries preserving 17+ million digitized items" (Hathitrust.org). The items available in the HathiTrust catalog have three different classifications:
You can search the Purdue Libraries Catalog for items or you can search within the HathiTrust website. You will need to login to have access to the materials.
When you locate an item in the Purdue Libraries Catalog that has online access through HathiTrust, you will see a link that says Full Text May Be Available at HathiTrust
If you click that link, the item will open in a new browser window
If you scroll down to the Viewability area, you will see that there is one copy of this item with full view access available through HathiTrust.
If you click the link titled Full view the book will open up on the next screen.
You can read the item in your browser or download the item on the left side of the screen. You can select which file format to download and how much of the item to download. The PDF file type is recommended because it will work the best across different computer platforms and is accessible to those that have disabilities.
If you have any issues accessing the materials, check out the troubleshooting information section of this page.
HathiTrust has a Help FAQ available on their website.
