Tips for Getting Started

Now, it's time to start thinking about making your own zine! These guides can help you get started on creating your zine and list helpful tips on how to format and assemble your final product.

Supplies You'll Need

To begin making your zine, all you need are 3 basic supplies:

• Paper
• A sharpie or pen
• A stapler*

(*A stapler is completely optional. You can make a zine with only a single sheet of paper and a writing utensil.)

There is a lot you can do to be creative with just these three things, but you may also want:

• Glue stick
• Tape
• Scissors
• Images
• Printed copies of your own words
• Other crafting supplies (ribbon, glitter, paint, stickers, fabric, etc.)
• Anything else you can find that inspires you!
