Once you've created your ORCID iD, you can easily add your scholarly works and research to your ORCID record. There are a few ways to add works to your ORCID record:

  • Link your works from another system (recommended)
  • Import a BibTeX file of your works
  • Manually type in information about your works (least preferred)

Link from Another System

  • To link works from another system, choose Search & link from the Add menu in the works portion of your record.
  • Select a system from the list.
  • You'll be asked to authorize the system, then identify the works in the system that are yours and that you would like transferred to your record.

Import BibTeX File

  • To import a BibTex file, choose Add BibTex from the Add menu in the works portion of your record.
