Patrons using the embroidery machine must provide their own garments or other items needed for their embroidery project.
- There is a variety of fabrics available to use for free in the sewing area of the lab. This is especially useful for practicing.
- The Knowledge Lab cannot guarantee any specific kind of fabric or color of fabric at any time.
- If your project requires a certain kind of material, we recommend you provide your own.
Important things to keep in mind:
- The embroidery machine is a new addition to the lab, staff are still learning how to use the machine and may not be able to offer assistance for all needs.
- The machine is a more advanced level equipment, we encourage patrons to start slow and allow themselves time to learn before starting a larger or more complex project.
- The machine is not intended for mass production and is better suited for smaller individual projects.
- It takes longer to complete a project than you may think. When in doubt, request a longer reservation time than you think you need.
- Patrons must stay with the machine during the entire duration of use.
