HIST 395: Famines in History

The Bureau of Meteorology is Australia's national weather, climate and water agency. Its expertise and services assist Australians in dealing with the harsh realities of their natural environment, including drought, floods, fires, storms, tsunami and tropical cyclones.

Responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs that ensure Australia's agricultural, fisheries, food and forestry industries remained competitive, profitable and sustainable. DAFF policies and programs are to: encourage and support sustainable natural resource use and management.
