Pharmacy Preceptors: Databases

Hundreds of databases are available, but the most frequently used databases in pharmacy practice are PubMed (Medline) and International Pharmaceutical Abstracts.  Use the links below to display the “Find it at Purdue” icon which will link out to full-text if Purdue Libraries licenses access to that particular journal.

Premier biomedical database for disease state management and therapeutics.  Pharmacy practice, especially community pharmacy practice, and pharmacy education literature have limited coverage.

Indexes hundreds of pharmacy-related journals from around the world.  Duplicates some clinical journals indexed in Medline/PubMed, but is the database to use for information about all aspects of the profession and pharmacy education.
