The Purdue Libraries Catalog is the main search tool for finding and browsing books held by Purdue University Libraries.
To search books available on all Purdue campuses (see PurdueBorrow LibGuide), use the Advanced Search interface and select "PurdueBorrow and Everything" (this is also the default setting).
Tool Features
To learn how to request books using the Purdue Library Catalog, see the video tutorial, "How to Request Materials Online".
You must "Sign In" to your library account when requesting materials through the Purdue Libraries Catalog. The delivery options available to you for requested materials will be made apparent after clicking "Request."
For more detailed information on these options, please visit the Borrow and Renew web page.
Interlibrary Loan enables current Purdue West Lafayette students, faculty, and staff to obtain research materials not owned by Purdue Libraries. This includes books, as well as other materials like articles, book chapters, DVDs, microfilm, sheet music, etc.
Anyone can submit purchase requests using the Suggest a Purchase form.
This form also pops up for books found through the Catalog but are not owned by any of the Purdue University campuses. A variety of factors determine whether suggested items are purchased. Priority is given to materials that support the curriculum or current research activities, but all suggestions are welcomed.
