The Medieval & Early Modern section includes, of course, material from the medieval and early modern periods. Though dividing human history into discrete periods is not a precise thing, as boundaries always blur and overlap, the medieval period is generally considered to cover the millennium or so from the end of the 5th century to the end of the 15th century. The subsequent early modern period covers the first couple centuries of the modern age, from the end of the medieval period to somewhere in the second half of the 18th century, depending on who is doing the measuring.
This page includes a listing of resources available through the Purdue Libraries relevant to these periods and their literature.
