Ask a Librarian is our digital chat service where you can ask us... just about anything! We'll help you work through research questions, find materials, and even direct you to other resources if we don't have what you're looking for.
This service is staffed by Libraries staff and faculty during regular hours. Questions that come in after hours go to an email queue and will be answered the following business day.
Course Reserves are items that have been purchased by the Purdue libraries for students to use for their classes. They are primary or supplementary materials such as books and videos. The library catalog will show you where to find the location of the physical item and if there are electronic items available. The physical items can be checked out for two hours at a time when the library is open. Electronic items such as ebooks and streaming movies can be used anytime and anywhere with your Boilerkey login. Check the library catalog and see if we have your course materials available before you buy your textbooks for the semester. If you have questions, you can reach out to reserves@purdue.edu.
Interlibrary Loan, often referred to as ILL, can help obtain materials not owned by Purdue Libraries. Visit the ILL website to submit a request or contact them at ill@purdue.edu or (765) 494-2800.
ILLs can be picked up on the first floor of the Humanities, Social Sciences & Education Library in Stewart Center. Hours of operation can be found on our hours page.
The Libraries provides access to reservable spaces such as interview rooms, group study rooms, and conference rooms. To submit a reservation request, visit our reservation page.
