In an effort to help students save money, the Purdue Libraries purchase required and supplemental course textbooks that are available electronically and for which the publishers provide ebook licenses to libraries. Note that sometimes publishers sell ebook licenses to individuals but not to libraries.
Students can consult textbook websites like vitalsource.com, tophat.com, and redshelf.com to rent/buy personal access to course textbooks.
