You can expect materials to arrive and be processed for our hold shelves within five to seven (5-7) business days. Delays may occur around breaks and holidays or due to other issues beyond our control.
The default search in Library Search includes the following:
Any materials with the Request this Item link can be requested through PurdueBorrow (if on the shelf and available).
To narrow results and view only materials available from PurdueBorrow, you can click the PurdueBorrow Regional Libraries filter on the left and choose one of the other campuses.
You will see all results where PFW and/or PNW have the physical item, including electronic resources available to you through West Lafayette's subscriptions. This will be helpful if you do not want to use the ebook and would like to request a physical copy instead (As of 2/14/22, there is a system issue with requesting physical copies from PFW/PNW where we have ebook access. Please use Interlibrary Loan instead). Once you find the item you would like to request, click the item's title or click Request this Item.
The How to get it section includes links to Interlibrary Loan, purchase requests, etc. You will also notice a new Get it from PurdueBorrow section below that. Click the regional campus' name to see if the book is on the shelf and available for requesting.
You may choose to pick up your materials here at one of our library locations (default choice) or at either of the regional campuses - you can choose one of those under the Pickup Campus drop-down menu. Click Send Request when ready.
After being sent, requests can be found in the Library Search My Account section. Scroll to the top of the page and click your name in the right-hand corner. Again, you must be signed in to see this. If you are not, you will see Sign in instead of your name.
The My Requests section defaults to our home institution (Purdue University) so if you have sent requests to either regional campus, you will need to click the option for that campus to see its status.
