New Faculty Orientation: Helpful Information

Resources to help you become oriented and familiar to Purdue Libraries

The Libraries' photocopiers provide scanning to email and scanning to USB services free of charge. Every library has at least one of these multi-functional machines for patron use. Ask where to find it at any information desk.

There are several Libraries study rooms available for reservation across campus. Simply click "Reserve this Room" to access the Room Reservation form.

Videos are available to borrow and we provide DVD/VHS areas for personal viewing in the HSSE (Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education) Library.

Purdue Libraries and Information Technology at Purdue combined resources in 2002 to provide audio/visual equipment for loan. Our mission is to support and facilitate integrated learning of information and technology literacy for Purdue University students. To accomplish these goals, we provide several services, including a state-of-the-art computer lab and various types of audio/visual equipment that patrons can borrow at the iDesk on the main floor of the Hicks Undergraduate Library.

All Purdue University-West Lafayette Campus faculty, staff, and students are allowed to borrow the equipment. Patrons must have a valid Purdue ID at the time of checkout and may only borrow one unit of each equipment type at a time.

If you have any questions or would like to make a reservation, please call 765-494-3751 or inquire in person at the Hicks ITaP iDesk.

We would like to hear from you if you have any suggestions for the collection. Please keep in mind that a variety of factors determine whether suggested items are ultimately purchased. Priority is given to materials that support the curriculum or current research activities, but all suggestions are welcomed. Fulfillment time may vary, so please allow as much time as possible. Suggest a Purchase online form.
