Endnote Basic: COLLECT: Linking PDFs to EndNote Records

This guide highlights the unique features of EndNote Basic (previously EndNote Web). EndNote Basic is free and can be used with or without EndNote Desktop software.

Linking PDFs

Step One:  Download the PDF to your computer.

Step Two:  Open your Endnote Library, locate the reference,  click on the "brown" paper clip. 

A "blue" paper clip indicates that there already is an attachment.



Step Three:  A pop-up window opens.  Click on "Attach Files" 




Step Four:  Click on "Choose File" and locate the PDF on your computer.  



Step Five:  Paper clip will change to "blue" to indicate an attached file
