The U.S. Congress produces numerous publications on U.S. foreign policy.  These publications are important resources because is responsible for funding and overseeing U.S. foreign policy programs.  Senate publications are particularly important because of the Senate's constitutional responsibility for approving treaties with foreign countries and the confirmation of officials such as the Secretary of State and ambassadors to foreign countries.  Examples of congressional foreign policy publications include:
