Public Entrepreneurship Resources

Information on resources available to those who don't have access to Purdue resources.

Library Resources

Even if you aren't affiliated with a university, public libraries often have many resources that can be helpful for entrepreneurship and market research. Below are a few local examples. Additionally, anyone in Indiana has access to the INSPIRE databases through the Indiana State Library!

Trade Associations

Trade associations are often a rich source of publicly available market research. You can usually find local, national, or international associations through a web search with your industry + association.

Government Information

Government information can be an excellent source for market information. The sites listed below are just the tip of the iceberg.

Local government sites, both state and city, can also have great information.

For more links to government sites, including international, see the guide posted below.

Other Sources

Additional places to look:

    • Find these through Business Source Complete in INSPIRE or other library databases
  • Interlibrary Loan
    • If your local library doesn't have it, they can probably get it for you! (this does not include market research reports)
