Government Documents on Drug Policy

Illegal drugs such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana, methamphetamines, and others wreak damage on individuals, families, communities, and society at large. Government agencies conduct research and issue publications on all aspects of this problem. Purdue Libraries have many government documents on drug abuse and governmental drug policy. Most of these publications are in the HSSE and PHAR libraries. Examples of Library Catalog subject headings you can use to search for government documents on drug abuse and governmental drug policy include:

Drug Abuse and Crime United States
Drug Abuse United States Prevention
Marijuana Law and Legislation United States
Methamphetamine
Narcotics Law and Legislation
Youth Drug Use United States

The principal index for locating U.S. Government publications is the Monthly Catalog of U.S. Government Publications HSSE REF & Periodicals 016.353 Un36. An online version of this from 1994-present is also accessible. The GPO Index on the Purdue Libraries Index page covers the same information from 1976 to the present. The Congressional Information Service (CIS) Index HSSE REF 328.73005 C76 is an excellent source for congressional committee publications.  Click HERE for information on downloading Purdue Libraries ebooks.
