Citing your sources
Why should you cite your sources?
- Shows you have done your research
- Lends credibilty and support to your research and recommendations
- Allows others to reproduce your research process
- Acknowledges others' contributions
Be as specific as you can: cite specific pages if possible; cite a particular chapter instead of the whole book, especially if chapters are written by different authors, etc.
The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) website has a guide for APA formatting. You will need to choose the type of document you want to cite on the left side (book , article, etc.) The link below goes to the page on citing articles.
