Why should you cite your sources?
Be as specific as you can: cite specific pages if possible; cite a particular chapter instead of the whole book, especially if chapter are written by different authors, etc.
Be sure to use the citation style given to you in class to be used with your reports.
SciFinder is a means of accessing the Chemical Abstracts database using a powerful and intuitive search engine to easily find references to articles and patents. Search for chemical data using a molecular formula, chemical name, chemical structure, reaction components, author name, or topic of interest. Coverage is primarily from 1907 to present and the database is updated daily.
Engineering Village is made up of two databases: Compendex, covering all engineering disciplines from 1884 to the present, and INSPEC, focused on physics, electrical engineering, computer science, electronics, and materials covering from 1896 to the present.
