Citation Management (EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley)

Use of citation management tools can assist in maintaining bibliographic information for in-text citations and end of paper references. Better yet, they help with all of the formatting peculiarities of each style.

Purdue Libraries supports EndNote, and several librarians also assist people with Zotero and Mendeley.

While there are many output styles available for each of these programs, some discipline specific styles are not included until someon has a need and creates it. Librarians can help modify styles in EndNote, and can help navigate the process of modifying or creating a CSL (citation sytle language) file for use with Zotero and/or Mendeley.

A couple output styles created by Amy Van Epps (former IE Libraries Liaison) include:

TRR for Zotero / Mendeley
