"Candidates are advised to consult as many reference materials as he or she feels necessary to prepare for the potential epidemiologic concepts on the examination. Below is a list of references that candidates may find useful in preparing for the examination.

"This list of references is not intended to be exhaustive or definitive. We suggest using the most current edition available for any of the references listed. We also encourage you to review and read as much current (past year) literature as possible (eg: Am J Epidemiol, Am J Public Health, Int J Epidemiol, JAMA, JAVMA, Lancet, MMWR, NEJM, Science, etc.) with particular focus on important public health and animal health issues such as bioterrorism, antimicrobial resistance, animal production, disease control, etc."
