NIMBY 491

Purdue Libraries have many books, journal articles, databases, and government information resources on the environmental policy phenomenon known as the NIMBY (Not in my backyard) syndrome.  This guide will feature information on locating and using these resources.  A good way of starting is doing subject searches in the Purdue Libraries catalog.  Examples of terms you can use in such searches include:

NIMBY Syndrome
Environmental Justice United States

Hazardous Waste Sites Location
Radioactive Waste Disposal Law and Legislation United States
Yucca Mountain

Print versions of these works may be found in many of Purdue's Libraries including HSSE (Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education), and Wilmeth Active Learning Center (WALC).   Information on downloading ebooks in the Libraries online catalog can be found HERE.
