Media Collection--Themes/Displays: Finding Media

This guide provides information regarding Purdue Libraries media titles (DVDs) that have been featured in thematic displays. Themes highlighted include Shakespeare, Jane Austen, American Civil War, Native Americans, etc.

  Online Catalog

To find media titles available from the Purdue Libraries, visit the Purdue Libraries home page at http://www.lib.purdue.edu/ and then click on the "Books & Media" tab.

Individual items may be searched by keyword (default), movie title, etc.

For more precise media searches, use the pull-down menu options available with "Advanced Search" (after you've clicked on the Books&Media tab, click "Advanced Search" directly under the red "Search" box).

Refine results by format as necessary, using options found on the extreme left side of the page, in the grey box beside search results.  The heading for the section reads:  "Refine My Results," and one of the categories is "Audio Visual."  Select "Audio Visual"  to view media titles after conducting any search.

The "Find in Print" link will display location and call number for media.  The media collection is housed on the second floor of the Humanities, Social Science and Education Library (HSSE) in Stewart Center.

The loan period for media is one week.
