Purdue University Libraries uses two different systems of classification: Library of Congress and the Dewey Decimal.

Books about sociology are classified under the 300's (Social Sciences), and in particular between 301-307.

If you want to browse using the Libraries catalog, you can do so by typing in subject headings.

Search the Catalog: Author/Keyword/Title

To find books available from the Purdue Libraries, visit the Purdue Libraries home page at:

Click on the "catalog" tab

You can search for an item by keyword, author, book title, subject words, etc.

The item record of a print publication will display the location and call number. Most of the sociology books are housed in the Humanties, Social Science and Education Library in the Stewart Center.
